Our Matala Air Discs are designed for the wastewater treatment industry to very high standards. The air por size in the rubber membrane is designed to give a medium size bubble which will not put any significant back pressure on the system. In fact this special air disc only adds less than 6 inches of water depth back pressure. The 3/4" male thread makes it easy to attach to your feed line.

The 9" disc is capable of handling air flows of 40 lpm to 120 lpm the 12" disc is capable of handling 60 lpm to 180 lpm. The disc is very low maintenance and in some cases NO maintenance. Simply wash the disc with clean water and bleach if it ever needs cleaning. We have some of these air discs in systems now for over 4 years with out trouble or maintenance.

Our Air Tube Diffusers are designed to be a drop in system. The rubber membrane is wrapped around a hollow PVC tube. It is neutrally bouyant so you may also add small stones to the inner tube to increase weight so it stays put on the bottom of your pond or lake. A plug is available to keep the stones in. The air slots in our tubes are a little larger than other brands at 2mm long each. You get a medium size bubble which does not clog and puts very little back pressure on your system. Rated flow for the 12 inch tube is 1 cfm to 4 cfm. The rated flow for the 24 inch tube is 2 cfm to 8 cfm. The maximum flow is 7 cfm and 14 cfm respectively, for short duration. These tubes are commonly used in waste water treatment systems. Both size tubes only add an additional 12 inches of water pressure to your overall system pressure. This gives you a very low maintenance and effective aeration system.

To clean, simply wipe with a rag and clean water occasionally.

This 12 inch diffuser is great for smaller ponds. Use it with our Hakko 25L or use multiple units with the larger size air pumps. It is already self weighted. The air slots are 1mm long so the air bubble size is a little smaller for better O2 transfer. It can handle flow rates between 0.5 cfm to 2 cfm. The maximum rated flow is 3 cfm for short duration. It will add approx 12" of water pressure to your system's overall pressure.

Optimum air flow performance is 1/2 CFM per foot of diffuser. Higher oxygen uptake at lower flows per foot.
