Matala Muck Buster Vacuum II

Matala Muck Buster Vacuum II

The new energy efficient 1.5 H.P. motor is made with high quality German made components. In suction tests, Matala Pond Vac II is four times more powerful than its competition with a suction lift 5’ above water.

Also known as the “Muck Buster”, the vacuum easily removes algae, sludge, dead plants, leaves and even small pebbles up to 3/8” in diameter.

The auto fill and drain cycles allow for water to fill the vacuum canister, then simply discharge water into garden beds. The on/off cycle is approximately 40 seconds vacuum and 20 seconds drain out. During the vacuum cycle the holding tank fills with dirty water. Once it is full the motor will turn off automatically. The dirty water will start to drain out the drain hose to the garden or yard drains. When it is empty, it turns itself back on automatically and continues to vacuum. Use the optional mesh bag to capture coarse debris before releasing the dirty water to the garden or yard drain. The dirty pond water is great for your garden plants! Do not return dirty water back to the pond. In this way you can use the vac to make monthly water changes. Safe for use in fish ponds and water gardens.

The Muck Buster Vacuum II is perfect for hobbyist ponds up to 3000 gallons. The holding tank is approximately 4.5 gallon capacity. The 5 extension tubes are approximately 15 inches long each and can reach depths up to 6 feet. The suction hose is 16 feet long and the drain out hose is 8 feet long.

Useful Tips:

- Open yellow ring on handle for extended suction time. Close with finger for increased suction power.

- Place Vacuum tank up high so that drain out hose with flapper valve is lower than bottom of tank.

- Use smallest vac head possible for the job in order to prolong suction time.

- Periodically check the flapper valve on end of drain hose for obstructions and good movement.

The Muck Vac

The Muck Vac

The Muck Vac connects to your garden hose and the specially designed vacuum head creates a high pressure suction lift up the vacuum pipe. You can suck up small pebbles and leaves and organic debris from the pond bottom. Some people use it to clean the filter tank out. The waste water is pumped out continuously to the grass or a drain in your garden. It really is quite powerful if your water pressure is good. You will also make a water change at the same time you are cleaning the pond.

Matala Power-Cyclone Vac

Matala Power-Cyclone Vac

Continuous Pond Vacuum with Power Discharge.

1500 gallon per hour Vacuum-Exhaust Capacity. Matala Water Technology has done it again! This contractor grade continuous vacuum is designed to vacuum large ponds. The innovative “Power-Cyclone” has two motors.

The suction motor will vacuum up to 1500 gph. The internal discharge motor is 1 HP and is capable of discharging your dirty water under pressure up to 18 feet in elevation.

The motors are balanced in flow rate so vacuum job is continuous without interruption. The 6 foot extension pipe combines with 26 feet of suction hose allowing for easy handling during even your biggest pond vacuum jobs. 4 different size vacuum heads are included.

Debris is vacuumed into the 13 gallon holding tank whereby large solids are collected into a pre-filter bag first. The dirty water is then pumped out to waste by the action of the internal 1 HP sludge pump. 32 ft of exhaust hose allows the waste water to be pumped to any elevation up to 18 feet high. Total working distance is over 60 feet. An optional secondary exhaust hose can be added onto the end of the discharge hose to gain an additional 32 ft if needed.

Note* Do not return dirty water to the pond. Pump dirty water to your garden or proper drainage system! Heavy Duty wheels perform over rough terrain & the Tote Handle makes maneuvering easy.

This innovative “Power” vacuum is very versatile and can be used in a variety of applications.
